We are seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our revenue by exploring new opportunities for our market leading software products to the retail industry. Through collaborative planning together with sales and marketing you will create a pipeline for leads and prospecting new clients. With a customer centric approach you will engage with C-level and executive stakeholders to qualify their business goals and identify opportunities on how Extenda Retail can be positioned as a strategic partner. Your focus market will be Sweden, but you will also work across key European markets.

Your mission is to identify prospects and generate new business opportunities through in-depth qualification of leads, and progress the pipeline of the sales process. You will, together with the team, develop a story outlining the value proposition towards prospective clients. You will use your creative side to prospect new clients through cold calling, email marketing and social media platforms like LinkedIn. Your aim is to describe how our products and solutions can increase revenue and success for potential clients. You will use a combined understanding of the current market, and match our solutions with the clients’ needs. You will be an expert on our value proposition, constantly communicating the value we create for existing and prospective customers. 

Responsible for

  • Promoting our products and how they can increase business value for the potential clients
  • Understanding the customer and how our solutions can generate success for them
  • Have the ability to ask the right questions and map in our product/solution into the client environment by focusing on the value it creates
  • Use insights from client interaction to help the marketing team on how to create the right attention from potential clients 
  • Book qualified meetings between Client Executives and the prospects

We think you are

A proactive and self starting team player with a curious mindset that finds energy from reaching out and talking to new people as you expand your network with potential clients. As you will reach out to potential clients through cold calling, email marketing and social media platforms it’s paramount that you have an outgoing personality. Your main focus will be the Swedish market but since we operate internationally, other markets are not excluded.

As this role is based on the interface between marketing and sales you will need a combination of “go get”- attitude together with a strong analytical mind. Through the combination of a sales driven personality and an analytical mindset you are able to consult the potential clients on our solutions and tailor the message based on the person you are talking to.

Experience and skills

  • Business degree from university
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Sales experience / Business Development experience within SaaS or Software
  • Understanding of the lead generation from marketing perspective
  • In depth knowledge and experience of working with CRM systems - preferably Salesforce 
  • Industry knowledge: retail & warehouse
  • Salesforce - with great knowledge from working with the tool
