Product Owner - Checkout hub team
Want to help out and lead the development of our Hii Retail platform in Google cloud for the new generation of Hii Checkout solutions and make your mark on how to optimize the data flows in our checkout solutions that affect millions of consumers?
This is a position as Product Owner for one of our key SaaS solutions, Checkout hub.
Checkout hub is an integration and communication platform that enables flexible and optimized data flows towards all our checkout solutions. You will take part in the exciting journey where we will enable integration through clean and simple API:s as well as lightning fast communications flows to all various end points in our customers future landscape. We also have our on-prem Centraloffice product that we will maintain and pick the nuggets into our Hii Retail solutions going forward.
In the position as Product Owner you will function as the link between client business
requirements and the technical solution of our products. You will be part of a talented cross functional team working with the aim of maximizing the product’s value by optimizing the team's backlog.
The role will require collaboration with different departments within Extenda Retail, leading discussions on product implementation and delivering solutions with high quality and speed. You will, together with other product owners, function as a link between the development teams by synchronizing teams and coordinating activities.
As a Product owner you will be involved in discussions about the solutions with architects and business analysts to write and prioritize user stories in the product backlog. You can take a holistic view of the solution but also dive into technical details and establish trust with clients, stakeholders and our technical teams.
At Extenda Retail we use agile development processes, Scrum/Kanban, and you will work in close collaboration with the Scrum master to serve a key role being responsible to improve and drive the solution forward.
Responsibilities
- The Product Owner manages the team backlog, produces the sprint plan, defines and prioritizes tasks and/or user stories for the Agile team.
- Serves a key role being responsible to improve and drive the solution forward.
- PO is working in collaboration with his/hers own team, Product Management as well as other stakeholders and PO:s.
- Responsible for the overall solution and lead delivery of the solution with quality and speed.
- Manage and prioritize the Team Product Backlog in collaboration with peer Product Owners and Product - /ProjectManagers
- Act as connector between Product Managers and the development team
- Participate in meetings with customers
- Ensuring that the team understands the Team Product Backlog to the level needed including the level of functionality of the product.
- Support the team with user story definition and clarifications necessary to create user story estimates
- Sprint plan and review
- Sprint risk assessment including mitigation planning and stakeholder management

Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- IT industry background working agile and preferably with distributed teams
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience of Agile and sprint planning
- Understanding of product development with distributed teams
- Experience within a product or consulting company
- Demonstrate a variety of leadership; technical and social
- Structured with great ability to prioritize tasks
- Agile methodologies
- Understanding of Software development
- Basic knowledge in testing
- Requirement gathering
