What We Do In Operations
In the Operations team we have four main areas of responsibility:
- Location Management.Extenda Retail is an international company with colleagues located in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, the UK, Spain, India, Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova. In Operations, we support the Management in defining our location strategy and ensuring seamless operations across borders. We evaluate the function and performance of each location to make informed decisions about our expansion plans. Our team keeps track of the number of colleagues in each location, enabling us to allocate resources effectively. By strategically planning our growth, we ensure that we are in the right places to serve our clients and drive our business forward. To safeguard our critical locations, we have robust business continuity plans in place. In the event of any local disruptions, we are prepared to quickly and efficiently overcome challenges and continue our operations without major disruptions.
- Strategic Supplier. Operations manages our strategic suppliers. Our aim is to forge strong partnerships that benefit our business and ensure high-quality products and services for our clients. We actively engage in supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms that benefit our business. We conduct regular evaluations of our suppliers and partners, seeking continuous improvement.
- Project Management Office & Process Quality. We operate the corporate project management office (PMO) and we adhere to a project methodology known as Practical Project Steering (PPS) and a work approach called First Time Right (FTR), which guides our actions and decision-making processes. In the PMO function, we manage and support our ongoing projects using PPS and FTR to secure a structured way of working on our projects with streamlined work processes, common templates, risk management, and clear roles and responsibilities. We also manage the project portfolio in the PMO function. Moreover, we help the company with process quality, meaning we support the organization with our process knowledge and provide improvements.
- Classic Deliveries/Management. The Operations team is in charge of making sure our classic products are planned, developed, delivered, and supported efficiently. We take care of every step to ensure that the development and delivery of our products run smoothly and seamlessly both internally and with our clients.
