Women at Extenda Retail
The tech industry has, for a long time been dominated by men, but at Extenda Retail we aim to break this pattern. We have subsequently improved the number of employed women through hiring with inclusion as a strategic part of our recruitment agenda. The work is not complete and, therefore, we are actively working on getting better in this area as well as empowering the women in our workforce. Our Diversity & Inclusion group plans activities and events to create a caring and open-minded organizational culture. The work within diversity and inclusion is crucial for Extenda Retail since we want to create a positive, welcoming and productive work environment where everyone feels accepted for who they are.
We care for the society and our planet
At Extenda Retail we have a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. The purpose of this group is to welcome new ideas and initiatives to enrich our work within CSR. An example of an initiative is our multiple collections of clothes and necessities for the people of Ukraine. Some of us opened our homes in Sweden for our Ukrainian employees fleeing the war. In addition, all of Extenda Retail’s corporate policies are in compliance with the United Nations Sustainable Goals, Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Paris Agreement. Accordingly, we demand that all stakeholders we collaborate with to conduct their business responsibly. For us at Extenda Retail it is important to do our part in contributing to the global agenda.
Extenda Retail received a Gold Rating for our work within Corporate Social Responsibility in 2022 by an independent third-party supplier: EcoVadis. This places Extenda Retail's CSR work among the top five percent of companies internationally of comparable size and industry.
Activities
At Extenda Retail, we are a mix of people with different personalities, interests and hobbies. Something we all have in common is that we enjoy spending time with each other. We have a social committee at each office that is, together with our office coordinators, planning all the fun activities. The goal is to create an arrangement with various activities in order to make sure there are activities for all.
Ways of working
Working at Extenda Retail means working within an effective organization with focus on learning, cooperation, and development. We are a growing, innovative company with a flat organizational structure that allows every individual to develop and get their voice heard. At Extenda Retail we work in agile processes, in cross functional teams and we are united by our mission to lead the retail software industry. We have over 700 colleagues working in distributed teams located in our offices in Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Moldova, Romania, and India. Therefore, to work at Extenda Retail means working in an international environment in close collaboration with people from around the globe.
