Client Executive NL & UK
We are seeking an experienced Client Executive to manage and grow our most strategic enterprise accounts. This senior role is responsible for driving long-term revenue and deepening partnerships with our Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients. The successful candidate will be accountable for defining and executing account strategy, ensuring alignment between client objectives and Extenda Retail's solutions to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The Role & Responsibilities
As a Client Executive, you will assume full commercial ownership of your assigned accounts, working to expand our footprint and deliver measurable business outcomes. You will be expected to lead complex, long-term sales engagements and orchestrate internal resources to ensure client success.
Strategic Account Growth: Proactively identify, create, and execute on upsell opportunities within the existing client base. Develop comprehensive business plans to target new avenues for growth and negotiate contract renewals with the ambition to improve upon current agreements.
Consultative Sales Execution: Drive complex sales cycles, typically lasting 6-12 months, by employing a value-based, consultative approach. Your primary goal is to understand and address the client's core business needs ("the Why"), differentiating between tactical wants and strategic requirements.
Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain a meticulously updated sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting within our CRM system (Salesforce). Develop sales budgets in collaboration with sales and commercial management.
Internal Leadership: Lead and guide the internal customer-facing team (Service Delivery Managers, Professional Services Managers, etc.) to ensure successful client engagements. Collaborate closely with product and service teams to leverage market insights and product features in your sales strategy.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who combines deep industry knowledge with a proven history of sales excellence and strategic thinking.
Essential Qualifications
Industry Experience: Extensive experience within the Retail or Retail Technology sector. A strong background in a complex application software company is required, demonstrating an understanding of long sales cycles and enterprise solutions.
Sales Track Record: A minimum of 7 years of experience in complex software sales, including a proven track record of selling SaaS solutions to C-level executives.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business & Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in both English and Dutch.
Travel: This position requires frequent and mandatory client visits.
