Let us meet Fanny Åsberg who was recently promoted to the Manager of the Office Team. Over the past 4 years, she has proven herself to be a dedicated and passionate individual through her work. 

We are honored and happy to have Fanny as our Office Manager on the team! Thank you for your commitment to creating a comfortable working environment for everyone. Let us get to know her a little more.

Share a little about your role as a Manager for the Offfice team at Extenda Retail.

As a manager, I am aligning our work with the company’s strategies and working closely with the team to improve our scalability in our day-to-day work and how to unify our processes even though we are a distributed team operating in different locations and countries. 

As our colleagues are our primary customers, we get to see the result of our work directly through them. That is why I focus on building relationships and collaboration with the rest of the organization to know what they want, how we can improve, and where we can add value. 

One other thing is also to follow the all-the-time changing trends when it comes to office environment and culture.

What were your biggest lessons learned during your time at Extenda Retail?

I have found some key ingredients that I want to be able to achieve great results in my work and well-being and these keys are Engagement, Drive, Knowing the Purpose, and having the Right People around me to collaborate and have fun with. I found this to be the key to both me and the company’s success.

If you could travel back in time, what would you say to yourself before joining Extenda Retail?

Cliche I know, but “Keep up the good work, you are doing great and more things are coming” And “Do not feel frightened by not knowing exactly what you want, you will get there by being curious and open-minded”.

What makes Extenda Retail special for you?

Extenda Retail is a workplace where you can make an impact, and where you feel that your ideas matter. I have great people within the People & Culture team who are encouraging and collaborative and make me laugh daily. And to refer back to my lessons learned, at Extenda Retail, I have the key ingredients that I cherish and it is a place where I can grow even more.

How has Extenda Retail supported you in your professional development?

Extenda Retail has supported me in my professional development by giving me opportunities to challenge myself and gain more knowledge by exploring my ideas and being involved in other departments and projects that might not necessarily have been connected to my core role.

With good mentors and “freedom under responsibility”, we have had a continuous dialogue about “what comes next” and how I can develop, which are the reasons why I am where I am today.
